October 1st 1949 is the commemoration day of the establishment of the People’s Republic of China. The RESOLUTION ON THE NATIONAL DAY OF THE PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF CHINA is passed by the forth conference of the Central People's Government Commission of accepting the proposal of the CPPCC in the same year. The resolution announced the day of founding of the People’s Republic of China will be the National Day on first of October every year.
The National Day is the very important Day for every country in the world. However different countries have the different names for the National Day, and the origins are varieties as well. There are 35 countries marked their National Day based on the time of establishment of the nation. Some countries marked their National Day based on Independence Day. January the first, 1804, Haiti declared independence in Port-Au-Prince by annihilating 60,000 expeditionary army of Napoleon. So did Mexico and Ghana etc. Some countries commemorate their National Day by the day of armed uprising. Bastille Day is the French national holiday, celebrated on July 14th of each year, On July 14, 1789, a howling Parisian mob stormed the Bastille, overthrowing the monarch regime. The Fourth of July, 1776 is the Independence Day of the United States to celebrate the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The birthday of the head of states or the day of ascend the throne is also used as the National Day by some countries such as Nepal; Thailand Sweden Netherlands Denmark Belgium etc. The specific date of the National Day is changeable for the replacement of the King in those states.
